The great interactive education tool that can be created out of many programs is the Digital Breakout. Through collaboration with four other students we utilized a google doc to create a story about a secret agent attempting to "Save Your Country". The basis of this mission was to teach coordinate plain graphing to fifth grade students. When one plays through the digital breakout, and eventually breaks free, it is evident as to how we incorporated this. It should take around 15 minutes for about 3 fifth graders to complete.

The main ISTE NETS that the Digital Breakout covers is the standard on Online Citizenship and how to use the internet in a safe and mature way, focusing on Respecting and Protecting students. The component that Digital Breakout fits perfectly is Component 3C, Engaging Students in Learning. This is through the elements: activities and assignments, grouping of students, instructional materials, and resources, and structure and pacing.
